Encouraging Ethical Behaviour

Helping Managers and Supervisors encourage the right kind of behaviour in your organisation

The ethical tone of an organisation is set by the people who manage and supervise. This course is designed to help them do this in a way that encourages others to engage in good behaviour.

By participating in this course managers and supervisors learn about the common problems that occur in organisations and the power they have to prevent them.

This training helps to increase managers’ awareness of ethical issues and the organisational factors that can enable bad behaviour. We look at what influences personal decision making and the group dynamics that can lead to unethical conduct. Managers learn simple tools to help them increase the likelihood of the right behaviour and avoid unconsciously encouraging the wrong kind of behaviour.

It is easy to think that companies that get caught up in scandals are staffed by bad people. But most people who find themselves in unethical situations did not set out to be bad. Most are not inherently corrupt. They found themselves caught up in a situation which they did not recognise as problematic until it was too late.

Sending employees on this course sends a powerful signal about the kind of behaviour that is expected in your organisation.
