Work Life Balance DayFriday 27th February is Work Life Balance day. I’ve always been a bit of a sceptic about this. It’s a great way for company management to lull themselves in to a false sense of security believing that by putting a few posters up they show support for work life balance. A few years ago I was in a company that had these posters up. The HR department had come up with a nice touch – raffles for family cinema passes. A cheap and effective way of making the point. Unfortunately their efforts were entirely undermined by the senior management team who called a management meeting at 5pm on that same Friday. So which was the stronger message?
